Deep Space Photography

When I bought my first inexpensive telescope, I started with the easy targets in our solar system. The moon, naturally, then Saturn — and seeing those rings with my own eyes for the first time was nothing short of incredible. From there I moved on to Jupiter and its Galilean moons.

It was a friend and mentor from our astronomy club at our local makerspace who pointed me toward the Orion Nebula. That was the moment I was truly hooked. Adding a camera came next, and with it the pursuit of something endless: capturing the seemingly infinite objects scattered across the universe.
